Our History

The Pompano Club is a family oriented private membership club that has served Southeast Texans for over 35 years, with a long standing tradition of quality food and service. What began as a dinner dance Club many years ago, has evolved into an elegant city Club featuring luncheon buffets, evening cuisine, and a luxurious outdoor swimming pool. Many civic and business organizations meet regularly at the Pompano Club using one of our five private meeting or banquet rooms that can accommodate from 10 to 200 guests. Rehearsal dinners, Wedding receptions and class reunions are other popular bookings for our members.

From the early days, dancing has always been a big part of our history and the tradition continues today with our spacious dance floor and top flight nightly entertainment. In the summer the pool is an active social center and hosts many special activities for young and old alike. A gazebo and snack bar offer guests everything from snack foods and sodas to shrimp baskets and adult beverages.
